Discover the revamped Luminous Silk Natural Glow Blurring Foundation
Armani Beauty has introduced a reformulated version of its iconic Luminous Silk Foundation, aptly named the Luminous Silk Natural Glow Blurring Foundation. This new version maintains the beloved soft-glow finish but introduces a thinner and more blendable texture, enriched with skincare ingredients like niacinamide and glycerin, making it particularly enticing for those with oily skin. The foundation, which debuted in 2000, became a staple in the beauty world, favored by celebrities like Gemma Chan and Kim Kardashian. The reformulation aims to meet modern consumer expectations, offering a more seamless, true-to-skin match that doubles as an extension of one’s skincare routine. Available in 44 shades, including 18 new ones to better cater to a variety of undertones, the foundation offers medium coverage with a glowing finish. Priced at $69, it is available on Armani Beauty’s website and at select retailers such as Sephora and Nordstrom. As Armani’s head of research and development, Rena Hayashi, explains, the reformulation was driven by the need to evolve with consumer demands and technological advancements in the beauty industry. The new foundation has already started to win over beauty enthusiasts, with makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez praising its ability to minimize skin texture and provide a soft-focus effect. Beauty content creator Alexis Androulakis highlights its comfortable wear and less drying texture compared to the original. Despite its higher price point, the Luminous Silk Natural Glow Blurring Foundation seems poised to capture the hearts of both long-time fans and new users alike.
